Irony Inc. has launched its own India-focused esports platform – Circuit. Billed as “a community-first esports platform that is made for India”, the website has been launched following a three-month beta which saw registrations from over a thousand users.

In March 2021, Irony Inc, in partnership with GamerzArena had run a hugely successful Free Fire tournament on the beta platform, which saw the participation of over two hundred teams. Built in partnership with Canadian esports company Alpha Tech Inc., Circuit can be accessed www.thecircuit.gg
As part of the launch, Irony Inc. has also announced a series of “Circuit managed” tournaments with a combined prize pool of Rupees 25 Lakhs in the first year. This will include popular as well as niche game titles organized in daily, weekly, monthly and marquee tournaments. The first set of tournaments will begin on the 1st of July, 2021.
Announcing the platform open, Ankit Bhatia, co-founder of Irony Inc., said, “This is a monumental step for both our company as well as the Indian gamer. Circuit offers huge potential to leverage competition, collaboration and content to engage the esports community. With our expertise in building communities and creating IPs, the technology perfectly complements our vision of building esports based communities for India”.
Irony co-founder Tushaar Garg, who also happens to be a former professional tennis player, commented, “Esports is by far the most egalitarian form of competition today. Our vision when building the platform, therefore, was to build a platform that appeals to both the professional athlete and the casual gamer. With a series of tournaments lined up, we are very excited to engage with the community through Circuit”
With the platform now live, the first marquee tournament that it will host will be a Free Fire Invitational open with a prize pool of INR 1,50,000 that will take place in July. Participants can register for the tournament for free on the platform.
